JOHN'S, N.L. — The provincial and federal governments have announced $400,000 for a pre-feasibility study into a road connecting communities in northern Labrador to the existing Trans-Labrador Highway.
The province said the road would be expected to start near Happy Valley-Goose Bay or the Lake Melville area and extend north to the Inuit communities of Rigolet, Postville, Makkovik, Hopedale and Nain and the Innu community of Natuashish.Northern Affairs Minister Yvonne Jones called the study an important investment.
