The late Amanda Asay, a Prince George born-and-raised multisport athlete, led Canada's women's baseball team to five World Cup medals

The former women’s national baseball team pitcher is among five British Columbian athletes chosen as part of the 2024 induction class.

A graduate of College Heights Secondary School, Asay helped Canada win five World Cup medals . She also led Canada to the silver medal in the 2015 PanAm Games in Toronto. Joining Asay in the 2024 athlete category is former Major League Baseball infielder Justin Morneau , swimmer Ryan Coachrane , halfpipe freestyle skier Cassie Sharpe and golfer Richard Zokol .
