Having run Albion for 36 years, Worthen was honoured to hear that he had been inducted into the Pictou Sports Hall of Fame. He was particularly humbled to be included in Pictou's long boxing history. Angela Capobianco Since opening the club in 1987, he’s seen thousands of people come through the door and is now training the children of the adults who originally trained with him back in the 1980s and 1990s.

“It was a beautiful gift. We have been trying for many years to get her inducted, and just out of the blue, she was finally inducted. It was just precious,” said Brenda’s niece, Tonya Francis, adding that the family has been going through some hard times recently, so it was nice to get some good news.

Brenda Francis cared a lot about baseball, and having her inducted was a beautiful thing, said her niece Tonya Francis, especially since they have tried for years to get her inducted into the Hall of Fame. Contributed “She was always very community-orientated. She had a heart for community and was always trying to give her best self,” Tonya added.
