Postmedia joins ad boycott of Facebook, Instagram over news blocking

Postmedia, which owns more than 130 brands in the Canadian news sector, joins all major Quebec media companies, as well as the CBC, that have announced ad boycotts of Meta. Quebecor, La Presse Cogeco and the CBC announced Wednesday they would cease advertising on Facebook and Instagram until Meta agreed to stop blocking Canadian news.

Postmedia said it would not disclose how much it spends on direct advertising with Meta.
