Victoria Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a driver who may have been threatened by a man brandishing bear spray and making threats against drivers early Saturday morning. The suspect was apprehended after assaulting two officers.
Victoria Police are hoping to speak with a driver who may have been a victim of a man who was threatening to stab people and spray them with bear spray early Saturday morning.
Police say they were called to the 1500-block of Fort Street in downtown Victoria just after 6 a.m. for a report of a man carrying bear spray and threatening to attack drivers.The man tried to flee on foot, and when police caught up to him they say he “assaulted and threatened two officers while being taken into custody.”
Police are now hoping to speak with the driver of a silver vehicle who may have also been threatened by the suspect before police arrived. They say the driver may have been a woman.
