“It started several months ago, several years ago really when we were initially planning for the 2020 Grey Cup,” said Jackiw on the game plan for the week of celebrations.Article content

“We’ve got a lot of experience on game days, and we’ve been policing the games for as long as the Riders have been playing,” said Jackiw. “We’ve definitely increased our police resources and our response just to mitigate any potential threats or anything that might happen,” he said. When it comes to staffing, there is an increased presence across the REAL District, where much of the festival is underway.
