Pacific Economic Development Canada has a new president, following the retirement of inaugural agency leader Dylan Jones from the public service . Naina Sloan officially took over the role of Pacific Economic Development Canada leader on Jan. 17. Sloan has a cumulative 14 years’ experience at the federal economic growth agency for British Columbia and its predecessor, Western Economic Diversification Canada .

Jones joined the federal public service after a four-year stint as president and CEO of the Canada West Foundation. He previously held deputy minister, associate deputy minister, and executive director roles in the Saskatchewan government. Johnson takes clean growth role at PCO Mollie Johnson, deputy secretary to the cabinet, plans and consultations, has a new responsibility within the Privy Council Office .
