Ardyn Hardy has been selected as one of 21 Canadian youth who have been chosen as a 2022 Vimy Pilgrimage Award recipient. The students will travel to Belgium and France to visit a number of sites, such as the Vimy Ridge Monument, and to take part in a number of discussions and ceremonies. - File photo.ALBANY, P.E.I. — Ardyn Hardy of Albany is one of 21 Canadian youths selected as a 2022 Vimy Pilgrimage Award recipient.
As part of the award, Hardy and the other youths are travelling to Belgium and France to take part in a fully funded educational program. From Nov. 4-12, the 14- to 17-year-old students are visiting sites and memorials in the two European nations that focus on Canada’s First World War efforts.Hardy and other selected students that applied were judged based on volunteer work commitment and contributions benefiting their peers, school, community service and interest in Canadian history.
