“They finally awarded us one, and it’s great,’’ Robblee told SaltWire Network on Sept. 2. “I had lots of customers coming in every day to the store asking us where the closest liquor store was and I had to send them a half hour to 20 minutes each way. It’s good to have one in the community.’’ “We recognize traffic patterns and population changes, so we take a look at what be needed in a community. There has to be a population base there that can sustain the operation.’’• P.E.I. has eight existing liquor agency stores in Wood Islands, Murray Harbour, Morell, Kinkora, Eldon, East Royalty, Wellington and Cavendish.

Rossiter said locations that were previously appointed as liquor agency stores were not required to be convenience stores or gas bars, nor do the new ones.
