On Jan. 31 in Mount Stewart, P.E.I., the RCMP executed a search warrant and seized several items, including a sandwich bag containing 56 pills of methamphetamine. Andrew James Myers, 42, has pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine and is scheduled to be sentenced in provincial court on Oct. 5. - ContributedCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. man has been convicted for a second time of possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

Reading from an agreed statement of facts, federal Crown attorney Chee Ng told the court that on Jan. 31, the RCMP executed a search warrant for a residence on Main Street in Mount Stewart. Myers lived alone in the detached residence, which was owned by Alan Stewart MacLean. The search warrant was authorized earlier that day by Chief Judge Jeff Lantz, said Ng.In a corner near the front door were a pellet rifle and a baseball bat. Ng said MacLean owned both of those items.

Myers pleaded guilty to the drug charge. He was represented in court by defence lawyer Joel Wonnacott.
