New York Sirens goaltender Kayle Osborne records her first professional shutout in a 3-0 victory over the Ottawa Charge.

Kayle Osborne delivered a stellar performance in her hometown debut, recording her first professional shutout as the New York Sirens defeated the Ottawa Charge 3-0 on Monday night. Osborne, originally from Westport, Ontario, a town located 90 minutes west of Ottawa, was met with cheers from a crowd of family and friends who witnessed her impressive display.

The Sirens, now 4-3-1-4, established an early lead with two goals in the first period and added an insurance goal on the power play in the third. This victory marked New York's first win against the Charge (5-0-2-6) this season after suffering two previous losses, both by narrow 3-2 and 3-1 scores. The game began with a surprising twist as New York scored on their very first shot. Chloe Aurard's attempt on goal led to Emerance Maschmeyer, the Charge's goaltender, inadvertently deflecting the puck into her own net. The Sirens further extended their lead midway through the first period with a power-play goal. Jessie Eldridge executed a behind-the-back pass to Alex Carpenter, who capitalized on the opportunity by beating Maschmeyer short side. Despite Maschmeyer's strong performance with 17 saves for the remainder of the game, the Charge struggled to generate offensive momentum.Osborne's dominance continued throughout the game, frustrating the Charge with her consistent saves. The Sirens capitalized on a two-player advantage during a major penalty against Tereza Vanisova and a minor against Gabbie Hughes. Eldridge received a fortunate deflection off Ronja Savolainen's skate, allowing her to score her fourth goal of the season. The Sirens will now travel to Boston to face the Pride on Friday
