The motorist was charged with having two infants not properly secured in the backseat along with stunt driving in the 4 a.m. stop in Augusta Township, East Region OPP said on social media.

“ALWAYS ensure everyone in the vehicle is buckled up properly,” provincial police warned, adding #SeatBeltsSaveLives. Charges for stunt driving — speeding at 50 km/h or more over the limit, or 40 km/h where the limit is less than 80 km/h — carry an automatic 14-day vehicle impound and 30-day driver’s licence suspension. Upon conviction, fines range from $2,000 to $10,000.
