Three men from Oshawa, Whitby and Ajax are among four people facing charges, after a complex investigation into armed bank robberies.Some were in small towns, like Arkona and Arnprior. Others happened in busy cities, like Pickering, Barrie and Newmarket.The men always used a gun and, in at least six of the robberies, bank workers were tied up. No serious injuries were reported.Three suspects were arrested in June, as they tried to pull a robbery in the Northern Ontario community of Field.
They’ve identified those suspects as Keino Heath, 25, of Oshawa; David Newman, 24, of Ajax; and Roderick Newman, 32, of Cobourg. A fourth man was arrested in September, in Vaughan. He’s been identified as Devonte Clark, 29, of Whitby.Akeem Williams, 32, of Ajax is wanted, but has already been charged. If you know where he is, police are asking you not to approach him.
The men are facing dozens of charges, including robbery with violence, use of an imitation firearm, forcible confinement, weapons possession and possession of property obtained by crime. Anyone with information is asked to call OPP at 1-88-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 .Ctrl+Enter
