The six months since this invasion have also seen an influx of military aid into Ukraine, including security assistance of approximately $6 billion from the United States and over $600 million from Canada. The military aid, complemented by the inspiring determination of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians alike, no doubt helped fend off the initial Russian push towards its capital Kyiv.

If Russian aggression against Ukraine is left unchecked, other outposts of democratic freedom are at risk. He has also noted that the military assistance already committed should be delivered more efficiently by bypassing standard procurement rules.
