With help from Oksana Makalenko, Hanna Furs and Iryna Pegasina — Ukrainians who have made Newfoundland and Labrador their home after escaping Russia’s invasion — the Kubasonics will put on an easy and fun-for-all-ages dance workshop, organizers said. Organized by the Ukrainian Cultural Organization of Newfoundland and Labrador , the night of dancing and music will also include a mural station with paints available for anyone to leave artistic impressions or messages of hope.

“We’ve heard a lot of interest in organizing an Independence Day Celebration, and the Kubasonics always deliver an energetic, fun show,“ said Bruce Lilly of Ukrainian NL. “We’re thrilled to work with them and the George Street Association to put on an evening of fun for the whole family.”
