The RNC says violent and seemingly random home invasions in centre-city and the east end of St. John's sent multiple people to the hospital Monday evening.
Lights of a police car. - Postmedia NewsST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Residents were assaulted, leaving one man seriously injured, in a pair of violent home invasions in St. John's on Monday night.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says the first occurred at approximately 7:50 pm when officers were called to a Beaumont Street home where it's believed suspects forced their way in to the home after knocking at the entrance. Once inside, a male resident was assaulted and the culprits stole the homeowners' vehicle and fled.As the suspects are believed to be carrying a weapon, police advise that people do not approach them or the vehicle and to instead and contact the RNC immediately.
⚠️ADVISORY⚠️ Officers have responded to two random attacks in St. John's. Three potential suspects may be operating a grey 2012 Honda Civic JPB 113. The investigation is active, with updates as information is available.
