Port Alberni Fire says one person was transported to hospital following a structure fire at a home on 7th Avenue, which resulted in a full road closure Friday evening.
came in around 6:41 p.m. on Oct. 18. When they arrived on scene, they encountered heavy fire, according to fire chief Mike Owens.
Owens says the home, between Bute and Redford streets, was badly damaged, and as a result, two people were displaced, including one who was sent to West Coast General Hospital. Their injuries were not disclosed to CHEK News.
