Watch as we surprise her with a gift that leaves her at a loss for words

In 2022, Debbie was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Since then, she has been fighting with grace and positivity. Debbie has become a strong advocate for other people living with cancer, dedicating countless hours to supporting her peers and participating in the local support group “Breast Friends Sault Ste. Marie”. The group raises funds and puts together care packages for those in need.

They also make donations to the local non-profit Tracy’s Dream, helping to cover the costs of parking at the Sault Area Hospital for people undergoing cancer treatments. Her friends and family wrote to SooToday telling us about her kind heart, generosity and how deserving of something special she is this Christmas.A big thank you to our generous sponsors, Century 21 and Cintas, for making this Random Act of Kindness possible.

SooToday is proud to make a difference in our community by highlighting extraordinary individuals and organizations with this Random Act of Kindness, a foundational piece of our SooToday Cares program.
