Three impaired drivers were found in two traffic stops in Saanich over the weekend, one of which resulted in the injury to an officer, according to police.
A Saanich Police officer witnessed the incident, checked on the officer to ensure injuries were not life-threatening, then followed and attempted to stop the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle then ran to the driver’s seat and sped off toward Quadra Street. One officer stayed with the original driver of the truck, and another followed to stop the truck.
