The Registered Nurses in Occupational Health often work autonomously, as the only health professional in the workplace. The Occupational Health Nurse is a registered nurse with additional knowledge and skill in environmental and health assessment, chronic disease management, disease prevention, health promotion, identification and primary treatment of workplace injury and illness, case management, worker rehabilitation and return to work programs, health and safety education, as well as, interpretation of and compliance with legislation pertaining to the workplace.

Registered Nurse license with a valid certification and Registration with The College of Nurses of Ontario in good standingEMR proficiency in EPIC Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service evidenced by well-developed communication skills, both verbal and writtenWell-developed self-awareness, self-management and social awareness skillsA solid track record of maintaining privacy and confidentiality in the workplaceDemonstrated ability to build and maintain positive successful working relationships Demonstrated ability to work independently and interdependently as an active member of a multidisciplinary teamInterested applicants are asked to submit a cover letter and resume indicating their qualifications for the position by the application deadline. Those selected for interviews will be required to demonstrate their qualifications and required skills and abilities as outlined above.
