A pair of forest industry professionals are being recognized for their work in northwestern Ontario mills.
Junaidi is a process engineer at Domtar’s pulp and paper mill in Dryden, while Marchl is the manager of environment and health and safety at Resolute Forest Products’ pulp and paper mill in Thunder Bay.According to his profile, he’s a “quick and innovative thinker” who has “demonstrated leadership and drive to achieve the mill’s goals and objectives.”
Junaidi is currently working to become an operating engineer, having successfully attained his third class operating engineering certificate. Marchl has been involved in a number of company waste diversion projects, including repurposing the mill’s boiler ash and creating beneficial uses for byproducts, as well as leading an initiative to repurpose pulp and paper and sludge for agricultural, municipal and other industrial uses.
