Ngoc Mai (Anita) Nguyen is not expected to survive, say homicide detectives
Homicide detectives have identified the victim of a targeted shooting in North Vancouver on Tuesday as 32-year-old Ngoc Mai Nguyen.Shortly before 11 a.m., the North Vancouver RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 1100-block of Lonsdale Avenue.
First responders arrived to find Nguyen with gunshot wounds. She was taken to hospital where she was placed on life support with non-survivable injuries, according to IHIT.“We will be continuing our coordinated canvass of the neighbourhood where the shooting took place for video surveillance footage and witnesses,” said IHIT spokesman Cpl. Frank Jang.
“Our detectives will continue to follow-up on several leads and we urge anyone with information about what happened to Anita Nguyen to contact IHIT immediately.” Anyone with information, who have yet to come forward to police, is asked to call the IHIT information line at 1-877-551-IHIT or by email at [email protected]@postmedia.com
