NOBU — Nobu’s two-storey, 57-seat restaurant bar on the mezzanine level features artwork by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai Katsushika. Nobu Toronto opens its doors next month.
The two-level Nobu restaurant and bar will open its doors at 25 Mercer St. next month, ahead of the Toronto International Film Festival, headquartered a block away in Toronto’s Entertainment District. The Nobu brand was founded in 1994 by chef Nobu Matsuhisa, actor Robert De Niro and film producer Meir Teper.Nobu Toronto will include a ground-level bar and lounge with 57 seats, decorated with a 28-foot bronze chainmail Lasvit chandelier; a mezzanine-level restaurant bar and outdoor terrace; a second-level restaurant with 140 seats; an 11-seat sushi bar in the second level; and a 20-seat private dining room in the second level.
