Fight the temptation of taking the points with double digit dogs
I won’t whine about it being unfair that I have to pick this game when nobody knows if Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow will be able to play. Burrow re-injured his calf against Baltimore last week in the Bengals’ 27-24 loss, but he did finish the game, and he also suited up for practice on Thursday, although he wasn’t expected to be a full participant and his coach said his star’s status is “day-to-day”.
If Burrow goes from “we’ll see” to “no can do,” Cincinnati will have to start Jake Browning, an undrafted 27-year-old who has played in one NFL game and thrown one pass … The Rams are off to a solid start, defeating the Seahawks in Seattle and losing by seven to the Niners, and they have a couple of new exciting players on offence in Puka Nacua, whose 25 receptions in the first two games of his career is a NFL record, and Kyren Williams, whose emergence allowed L.A.
