Starting close to home, the Eastern Knights fell one goal short of winning the Under-13 AAA Male Atlantic tournament held at the Paradise Double Ice Complex. On Sunday morning, the Knights lost 4-3 to the Pictou County Crushers in the tournament final and were forced to settle for a silver medal. They weren’t the only local team to make a medal game. The Eastern Hitmen met New Brunswick’s North West Bulls in Sunday morning’s bronze medal game.
The under-15 male Eastern Hitmen brought home the bronze medal after defeating the Prince County Warriors 3-2 at the Under-15 AAA Male Atlantic tournament in Prince Edward Island.The under-15 female Western Warriors failed to produce a win at their AAA Atlantic tournament in Woodstock, N.B. The Warriors finished the tournament 0-4.
