Newfoundland and Labrador has launched a review of it's long-term care and personal care system. Stock imageST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The Newfoundland and Labrador government has launched a review of the province's long-term care and personal care programs.
A panel of experts has been assembled to determine the scope of the review, provide advice to the government on its findings and give input on an implementation plan. “This review is a welcome opportunity to improve and build upon standards and monitoring already in place in the province’s long-term care and personal care homes," said Mercer."I look forward to working with the panel to recommend opportunities to enhance not only the quality of life for residents in these care homes but also the quality of work life for those who are employed in these settings.
