Halifax Regional Centre for Education spokeswoman Lindsey Bunin said in an email that Millwood High School in Middle Sackville, Park West School in Halifax and Halifax West High School were all closed early because of threats written on paper or on bathroom stall doors.“Safety of students and staff is our highest priority and any time a potential threat is directed at a school, it is taken seriously,” Bunin said. “School leaders contact police and investigations take place.
““These events are disruptive to school communities and to learning,” Bunin said. Adding that in addition to any legal consequences, students who endanger the well-being of others, damage property or significantly disrupt the learning environment will receive immediate and appropriate consequences for their actions, as per theStudents and staff at École secondaire du Sommet on Larry Uteck Boulevard were also evacuated Monday due to a bomb threat.
