Six neighbourhood parks promise community fun during two-day event
Organizers said the event is the largest collaborative effort yet with events spread across four New Sudbury wards, namely Ward 5, Ward 8, Ward 11 and Ward 12.
New Sudbury Days kicks off with a food drive in support of the Sudbury Food Bank, which will aim to fill their cargo truck at Metro on Aug. 23 and Giant Tiger on Aug. 24.

Greater Sudbury Police Seek Public's Help in Locating Missing 71-Year-Old ManThe Greater Sudbury Police are asking for the public's assistance in finding a 71-year-old man named Doran, who has been missing since August 11. Doran requires hearing aids and eyeglasses, but he does not have them with him. He may appear confused or disoriented and have difficulty communicating. He was last seen driving a silver 2014 Chevrolet Cruze with Ontario licence plate number BZTR 318, accompanied by a small shih tzu dog. Doran is described as 6-1 with white hair, a white mustache and beard, and was last seen wearing a dark brown western-style hat, a blue shirt over a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes. The public is urged to be on the lookout for Doran and the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 705-675-9171.
