This new 'baby' LandRover_UK Defender will feature tough looks and plug-in hybrid power 👀 Here's everything else we know about it so far:
, based on the latest Range Rover, early next year, and could bring that technology to the smaller Defender Sport. Jaguar Land Rover has already committed to having an electric vehicle in each of its model ranges by 2030, which strengthens the case for an electric Defender Sport.
Inside, we expect the Defender Sport to follow the larger Defender's lead with a rugged yet modern interior. That means the same 11.4in touchscreen infotainment system which has already impressed us on the Defender, and digital instruments as standard. While the regular Defender can be had in 90, 110 and 130 forms – the latter offering seating for eight people – it’s expected that the Defender Sport will only be offered in one length, with five seats as standard.
Prices are a long way from being made official, but we’d expect the Defender Sport to cost from around £50,000. That would place it in-between the Discovery Sport and regular Defender in terms of price, and make it a little more expensive than the Q5 and X3.
