Bendis and Maleev's latest: Masterpiece.
Dark Horse Comics has announced the latest series from legendary comic book author Brian Michael Bendis. Masterpiece is a six-issue limited series, focusing on a brilliant teenage inventor who finds herself not only confronting the truth about her parents, but forced to pull off a nearly-impossible heist to pay for their crimes. The series will once more team Bendis with artist Alex Meleev, his frequent collaborator.
According to Dark Horse's official announcement, the series will find Emma, known as "Masterpiece," roped into a corporate heist scheme by billionaire Zero Preston, who "confronts her with the truth about her world,"sending her on a wild journey over the course of the story's six issues. Emma, aka “Masterpiece,” is a brilliant and driven 16-year-old. She has paid for school with her next level inventions and is well-known for her funny and honest webcomics. Then, one day, Zero Preston, one of the most famous billionaires on the planet, confronts her with the truth about her world. Emma discovers she is the only daughter of two of the greatest, most charismatic master criminals of all time.
