Since then, the retired teacher and veteran – and Temple alumnus – has been the beneficiary of nonstop help as many in the neighborhood and at Temple have come to his rescue,“The mayor reached out to me, his office reached out to me, Temple’s president reached out to me. Temple’s been sending representatives here,” said Pierce, who is 70. He has lived there a long time, the story said.Students who live on Arlington Street started a GoFundMe to help him with the repairs.
“It’s absolutely insane the support the community came out to show.
