A student at St Paul Secondary has received a major national scholarship
A local high school student has won a national scholarship.
The $100,000 scholarship is distributed over four years for students pursuing a degree in the STEM fields, science, technology, engineering and math.The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board congratulates Keegan Amos, Grade 12 student at St. Paul Catholic Secondary School in Trenton for being one of 100recipients, and the only recipient to be awarded the scholarship pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science degree at Queen’s University.
The scholarship Keegan is receiving is valued at $100,000 and will be distributed over a four-year period. All 100 recipients are pursuing a degree in a STEM program at one of 20 partnering universities. The candidate must also be planning to pursue a career in one of more of the following areas: technology, engineering, entrepreneurship, and business enterprise or applied scientific research.
