SaltWire's Atlantic regional weather forecast for October 19, 2023 | SaltWireA recent cost of living study has named Newfoundland and Labrador as the most affordable province to live in with the cheapest cost of living nationwide.
N.L. was bolstered by some of the lowest house prices, with an average cost of $291,807, and the highest average income around $57,410, roughly 20 per cent of the average house price. P.E.I., with the second lowest cost of living and scoring 31 points higher than N.L., has an average home price of $388,844 and an average income of $39,510 .
While not quite as cheap as Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia also count themselves among the more affordable places to live.
