Between 30 to 50 mm of rain is forecast for East Vancouver Island with lightning expected for some parts.
“An upper level disturbance will bring showers and thunderstorms to the northern and central sections of East Vancouver Island on Wednesday,” Environment Canada says in the special weather statement. “The showers will begin Wednesday morning and end early Thursday morning and could be locally heavy.” “Heavy downpours could cause flash floods and water pooling on road. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.”It happened in Rocky Creek Village, a 55-plus mobile home park on Ladysmith’s Alderwood Drive.
