Highway 11 North near Temagami was closed in both directions for more than six hours; OPP are not releasing name of 39-year-old pronounced dead at scene
Ontario Provincial Police say one person has died after a collision with a moose on Highway 11 North, near Temagami.
The vehicle collided with a moose and then left the roadway around 10 p.m. Sunday night, police said, closing the highway in both directions for more than six hours. A 39-year-old was declared dead at the scene. Police are not releasing the person's name, gender, or home municipality.Officers from the Temiskaming Detachment of the OPP, Temagami Ambulance Service, and the Temagami and Marten River Fire Departments responded to the accident.
