The Montgomery City Council addressed initiatives on public safety and the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.

MONTGOMERY , Ala. - The Montgomery City Council addressed initiatives on public safety and the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts at its meeting Tuesday night.

“The city was wanting to take over the museum board,” said Councilman Glen Pruitt. “And for the life of me, I don’t know why we wanted to do that. It’s been working since Noah built the ark.” Pruitt reintroduced two public safety ordinances he initially addressed at the last meeting. First up, Pruitt wanted to increase proposed pay raises for high ranking officials within the Montgomery Police Department.
