A Wallace College pitcher has once again been named Pitcher of the Week by the ACCC.
NATHANIEL FRAZIER For the Eagle Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. A Wallace College pitcher has been named Pitcher of the Week by the ACCC.
Middleton threw a complete game shutout last week against Bevill State. He tossed seven innings, struck out 11 and walked only one. Middleton’s performance helped to lead the Govs to a four-game sweep of Bevill. “Jake stepped up in a big way for us on Thursday, on a day where our offense was scuffling,” Wallace coach Ryan Ihle said. “He has shown a lot of maturity on the mound and he has become someone I am comfortable in handing the ball. He was fantastic for us and instrumental in ensuring a two-game sweep on the road.”
