YARMOUTH, NS – The Yarmouth Mariners are in a must-win situation when they face off against the Summerside Western Capitals on the road Tuesday, March 26.
A win for the Caps on Tuesday will wrap up the semi-final series and put Summerside in the division final.Summerside opened the scoring quickly during Game 4 with a goal by Liam Duquette just 31 seconds into the first period. Later, with 1:57 remaining in the game, the Mariners pulled Fontaine from the net for the extra attacker but Summerside dashed the home team’s hopes of tying the game when Caps player Jonah MacDonald scored on Yarmouth’s empty net with 49 seconds remaining in the game to put Summerside up 3-1.
