The Ramblers proceeded to take the next two goals in the first period, with Rambler Jonah Jelley scoring both times. Almost 13 minutes into the game, Mark Corbett scored the third goal for Amherst, although Pictou County came in shortly afterwards, scoring the final goal of the first period by Mac Wallace.
Overtime was tight, and it looked like the game could go into second overtime until Rambler and Goran Stobo scored in the Crushers, ending the game 5-4.
