The Adelphi A quiz held at Preston’s Adelphi pub has raised £478 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation. It was organised by Holly Egan, president of Preston Oncology Society, a group of third-year Manchester University medical students on placement at the Royal Preston Hospital. They all share an interest in cancer and its treatment. The charity funds items beyond NHS means, such as equipment, clinical research, staff training and services to make treatment more effective, comfortable and stress-free.
