Citizen promises to fight all attempts to skirt the city’s affordable housing requirements
Seven weeks after vowing to oppose "each and every" city council decision that ignores affordable housing requirements in large residential developments, Mark Brown is proving true to his word.
The other project anticipates building as many as 376 housing units at 204 South Market St. near the Giant Tiger store. Brown is known for the agility with which he leaps in front of whatever political bandwagon might be popular at the moment, relentlessly lobbying local media to take notice of his drum-major-like community leadership.
Citizen Brown served notice seven weeks ago that he will appeal "each and every one of these decisions where the planning department's abandoned citizens who require a chance at new affordable housing."
