Police say a woman who was struck by a school bus while crossing a Toronto street Wednesday has died in hospital.

In a news release on Thursday, police said the 60-year-old driver turned himself in on Thursday and was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and careless driving causing death. Police said the school bus, which was eastbound on Kingston Road, made a left hand turn to head north on Kingswood Road, when it hit the woman while she was in a crosswalk, walking west on Kingston Road.
