A 29-year-old man faces charges of car theft, assault with a weapon, assault of two police officers, mischief and breach of probation in relation to an incident in South Burnaby Friday night.
A 29-year-old man was arrested Friday night after allegedly stealing an SUV, hitting the owner with the vehicle, and later colliding with two police vehicles trying to stop him.
The suspect had fled the area in the SUV, leaving the owner with minor injuries, Kalanj said in an emailed statement. While attempting to flee again, the suspect collided with two police vehicles and several parked cars before being arrested, Kalanj said.
