As a member of the maintenance and engineering department at Cameco’s Blind River refinery, the maintenance engineer will provide support to the refinery operations based on knowledge of mechanical equipment and design.
-Maximizing equipment availability, reliability and performance through effective problem solving and proactive maintenance practices. -Solving complex technical problems using formal techniques, including Root Cause Analysis and FMEA, to evaluate systems and equipment failures.-Identifying and managing strategic maintenance requirements that involve integration across multiple sites or asset groups. -Interpreting machine and tool maintenance records and master data to develop a condition monitoring program and preventative and predictive maintenance plans to drive continuous improvement. -Defining, developing, monitoring, and optimizing asset specific maintenance strategies to improve equipment health and to prevent or eliminate equipment failure. -Managing the planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance shutdowns by coordinating between the operations, maintenance and engineering departments, as well as other department stakeholders.-Working with equipment manufacturers and other third-party parts and service providers to identify opportunities to improve asset reliability.
