Supporting the Chief Operating Engineer, you will provide leadership, guidance, technical instruction and quality control for the powerhouse shift operating engineers, the utilities operator and the emergency systems operator to ensure safe, continuous, effective, and efficient operation of the powerhouse and utilities systems in accordance with the Boilers and Pressure Vessels Act, the Operating Engineers Regulation 219/01, and the TSSA.
You will participate in the coordination and supervision of pressure vessel inspections by regulatory and insurance inspectors.-Assist in the supervision of the operation and maintenance of the powerhouse.-Responsible for the maintenance and update of existing Standard Operating Procedures and Training Manuals to ensure procedures and practices meet company safety policy and comply with all applicable regulations.-Monitor group to identify areas of deficiency in operating procedures and training and address accordingly.-Daily reviews and input on operating log sheets and trend analysis.-Attend to daily maintenance activities in conjunction with work planning and scheduling. -Assist with the activities of contractor service persons for major equipment and systems in the powerhouse, utilities areas, and for the fire protection systems.-Provide casual relief for the shift operating engineers by operating high pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment according to the Pressure Vessels Act and Operating Engineer Regulations and operates the water filtration system and water treatment plant.You will receive an email that contains a code to verify your account.
