Macphail Woods Nature Centre in Orwell. - SaltWire File PhotoORWELL, P.E.I. — The Macphail Woods Ecological Forestry Project is hosting volunteers for an afternoon of gardening on Sunday, Aug. 14.
Interested people can help plant native trees, shrubs, wildflowers and ferns on the Lindsay property next door to the Macphail Homestead from 1-4 p.m. Macphail Woods staff will be on-site to lead the work, and shovels and other tools will be available. Volunteers will be gathering at the Macphail parking lot by the homestead and then head to the river.
