“It’s a dream come true,” he said. “I always thought about it, but never thought I would win.”
Trinh said he was having dinner with his parents and siblings when he checked his ticket on the B.C. Lottery app when he heard the winner’s music. “I noticed there were a lot of zeros, so I asked my dad how much the jackpot was,” Trinh said while accepting his prize at the BCLC headquarters. “He said it was $18.7 million. I checked it a bunch of times and then I realized I won.”He plans to retire early and go to Japan and China on vacation. He’ll also have more time with his kids and will play more tennis.
