A LEADER LIKE GORBACHEV
For children of the 1980s, who saw the end of the Cold War and freedom spring to life in Eastern Europe, saw the collapse of the Iron Curtain and the fall of the Berlin Wall, Gorbachev was a hero and a man of vision. Now, alas, those freedoms have been undermined by his successors and the world is a far more dangerous place. But his legacy and his desire for peace wait for someone new to take up the torch. RIP.
