I was heartened to read Halebian’s and Bach’s letters to the editor questioning why the governor is for a ban on transgender college athletes when there are so few of them anyway, and when surely they have a right to live as they choose, and when there are more significant issues to focus on, such as the state foster care system.
I remember a few years ago when the talk of a bathroom bill of similar ilk was shut down with the reaction of the business community. Not this time so far. All we have are some fair and honest letters to the editor and the neglect of many issues more worthy of legislative action.Re “Russia continues to grind in the east — Shelling damages residential buildings, vocational school,” Feb. 13 news story.
