This no-bake chocolate cookie is a great project for kids
Kitty GreenwaldWHEN I WAS growing up, Olivia, our nanny, steadied our family with hard work, warmth, wisdom, kindness, discipline and excellent food. When I was 15 she moved back to Portugal, but her hold on my heart has remained strong.
Since early March, Olivia hasn’t left her apartment. At 84½, she’s the oldest resident of her high-rise in Lisbon. “I’m the mascot,” she said on a recent phone call. In our respective lockdowns, we talk daily, discussing the latest news, memories, moods and meals.
